Traditional Owners’ rights have been formally recognised across nearly 80 per cent of Victoria. Their representative organisations hold these rights on their communities’ behalf. These Traditional Owner Corporations are who we work with and for.
The Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations is Victoria’s primary body for Traditional Owner groups’ collective rights and interests. We were founded in 2013 by Traditional Owner Corporations that recognised they could be stronger in collaboration. Through policy, advocacy, convening and service delivery, we work to embed recognition, empower self-determination, and enable capacity for Traditional Owner Corporations.
