Federation Enterprises

Traditional Owner-led strategic investment that resources the Federation’s work for Traditional Owner communities.

About Federation Enterprises

Federation Enterprises is an investment company wholly owned by the Federation of Victorian Traditional Owner Corporations, established in 2013 to support the Federation’s work for Victorian Traditional Owner communities, and to enable broader Aboriginal economic development.

The purpose of Federation Enterprises is to grow investment benefits and returns in Aboriginal enterprises to empower and enable economic independence self-determination and recognition.

Federation Enterprises does this through application of capital and providing support for new and growing enterprises.

Alignment with the Federation’s vision

The Federation is an independent organisation with a long-term, transformative ambition to see Traditional Owners strong on Country, leading the social, political and economic landscape.

Government funding and short-term project-specific contracts aren’t enough to realise this goal. Instead, Federation Enterprises strategically creates or invests in dividend-paying businesses whose profits flow back into the Federation’s work for Traditional Owner communities.

Federation Enterprises’ values and that present its investments from competing with Victorian Traditional Owner communities or harming Country or community.
